Directions From the North

Exit M5 at Taunton (Junction 25) and take the A358 towards Chard. From Chard continue along the A358 and follow signs to Axminster. At Axminster follow signs to Bridport following the A35. Chideock is the next village after Morecombelake. Carry along the A35 through the village of Chideock until you see the George Inn on the left. The cottage can be found down a little lane directly opposite the George on the right hand side.

From the South West

Exit M5 at Exeter (Junction 29) and, follow signs to Honiton. Take the A30 towards Honiton passing Exeter airport on the left. Exit the A30 on the second turning for Honiton following signs to Dorchester on the A35. Continue along the A35 past Axminister and through the village of Morecombelake. Carry along the A35 through the village of Chideock until you see the George Inn on the left. The cottage can be found down a little lane directly opposite the George on the right hand side. From the East: From Dorchester, follow signs to Bridport along the A35. Continue through the village of Winterbourne Abbas along the A35. On reaching Bridport, follow signs for Chideock continuing along the A35. On entering Chideock village you will see the George Inn public house on the right. The cottage can be found along the lane directly opposite the George Inn.

Here are some quick links to train and bus timetables. Even if you arrive by car, the buses are an excellent way to travel along the coastal route to Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Exeter to the West and Bridport, West Bay, Abbotsbury, and Weymouth to the East.
